Barnes Webster takes into account many factors when programming.
We try proactively to look at the scheme as a whole and incorporate into
our programme realistic lead times for all our subcontractors and specialist material suppliers, which could affect the critical path.
We encourage O.S.M. (Off-Site Manufacture) to reduce programme times, which helps to cause less inconvenience to local communities. When programming all access and egresses are taken into consideration, for example if road closures are required with lengthy lead-in periods, these
are highlighted at an early stage.
The programme is produced with input from the Contracts’ Director, Contracts’ Manager, Buyer and Surveyor. These programmes form part of our master programme, so that we can track our labour and subcontractors current commitments to us, which we refer to when placing orders.
Programming is particularly important. We pride ourselves on realistic programming to deliver our schemes on time. |
